TECHNICIAN TRAINING
Are you serious about a career as a Local 701 automotive or diesel technician? The Mechanics’ Local 701 Training Fund provides training to those seeking an education that can pave the way into a successful career in our industry, at an extremely affordable cost and a schedule that makes sense. Classes are scheduled for you to attend one day per week, allowing the opportunity for you to earn while you learn by having the time to secure full time employment during your enrollment. Our training is led by manufacturer trained, ASE Master Certified Instructors with decades of real world field experience and teaching experience who are dedicated to helping you achieve success.
Recieve training without the $40,000 to $55,000 of debt typically associated with similar trade schools or uneccessary gen ed classes required to complete other programs
Those accepted are eligible to attend the auto or diesel program for less than $2,200
One day per week on campus
Automotive Technology Program can be completed in just under 2.5 years
Diesel Power & Equipment Program can be completed in just under 2 years
Employment at Local 701 shops and dealerships provides great pay and benefits for Union technicians

Our training programs are intended specifically for those individuals seeking a successful career as an automotive or heavy truck/equipment union technician. The Automotive Technology Training and Diesel Power Training Programs follow ASE Education Foundation guidelines with major industry training resources and ASE certified Instructors with real world experience. Students attend one day per week on campus for Instructor-led classroom and hands on lab instruction which provides the skills needed to advance in a career in the automotive or diesel and equipment industry.
