How it works:

Complete the following application in its entirety once you have read and understood the "Application and Acceptance Policy & Procedure" and the "Student Policies". If you have further questions, please call us. If you do not correctly fill in the required fields, your application will be void, and no refund will be provided.
Pay an application processing fee of $75 at the end of this session. This is only accepted through PayPal, and is not accepted in person. Please keep in mind that this application processing fee is non-refundable.
We will contact you within 3-5 business days by phone call with further instructions.
Please keep in mind that our training program is intended for individuals that will have the availability to gain full time employment in our industry while enrolled in our program
All applicants must be 18 years of age by August 1st, 2026, (the application can be filled out prior to turning 18) to be considered for this start date.
If you are a current Local 701 member in good standing at the time of your initial application, please be prepared to provide your book number in this application. If you do not know your book number, you may call the IAM Mechanics' Local 701 Union Hall to obtain the necessary information at (708) 482-1720.

Our training is a mix of hands-on in shop lab exercises and assessments on vehicles and components, which requires students to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE, classroom lessons and testing, and online training in which a student must be able to complete on an accessible computer outside of on-campus training hours. Once enrolled, students must create a Gmail acount for training program purposes if they do not already have an existing one. Do you understand these expectations?
