Are students paid to attend training?

No. Students enrolled in the program are not paid to attend, nor are students employed by Local 701 or the Training Fund. Instead, the Mechanics’ Local 701 Training Fund offers a very affordable training program with zero debt options available for those that qualify. The Training Fund provides in-demand industry training for students serious about gaining full time employment as a technician in one of over 420 shops/dealerships represented by Local 701.
