The Mechanics Local 701 Training Fund Training Program is designed to offer the next generation of Local 701 mechanics an affordable alternative from traditional for-profit trade schools to learn the craft of vehicle diagnostics and repair.
The program currently initiates a new class of trainees in April and October of each year.

The Mechanics Local 701 Training Fund is a U.S. Department of Labor supervised 501(c)(3) ERISA trust fund. Participating Organizations and Associations include: IAWAM Automotive Mechanics Local 701. New Car Dealer Committee, Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association and the Northern Illinois Ready Mix & Materials Association.
